Teaching Your Authors (and Yourself) to Build Market Presence

Join us on March 11th for our monthly virtual member meeting!

Do you want to turn your authors into confident marketing partners (while giving you and your team back their nights and weekends)? Whether you’re a cozy micro-press or a publishing powerhouse, an author training program could be your secret weapon for success.

In this practical session, you’ll discover how to transform anxious authors into empowered allies who amplify your marketing reach and help drive book sales.

We’ll walk through everything from

  • Assessing what your authors really need (beyond “just sell more books!”).
  • Empowering authors to show up, even when they are struggling with imposter syndrome or a general dislike of marketing.
  • Building literary citizenship amongst authors.
  • Choosing the right mix of training tools—as simple as a series of emails to as elaborate as a full video training program.

You’ll leave with a clear roadmap for creating your program, plus plenty of ideas for keeping authors excited and engaged throughout their publishing journey. Best of all? Happy, supported authors tend to bring their writer friends along—meaning more fantastic manuscripts in your inbox. Join us to learn how to build an author training program that won’t break your budget or overwhelm you or your team and helps everyone win!
