Community Building and Collaboration: the Art of Building a Literary Career

Life is rarely an either/or. It’s about finding your way, finding what works for you, and finding the right folks to journey with. In this talk, author, teacher, and community organizer Maurice Broaddus will elaborate on the importance of community connection, collaborating with other literary professionals, and how a rising tide often lifts all boats in the literary space.

At MiPA, we know that building a literary career isn’t something that happens in a vacuum. We invite you to join us at 6:30pm Central for a half-hour networking session before the presentation at 7:00pm. We hope that by offering this time for us to gather together, we can continue to foster the community connection and conversation.
