Two big updates for everyone!
First, the annual in-person holiday meet-and-greets are back! Please join us for a (free) evening of revelry:
- Tuesday, Dec. 9, from 7p to 8p CST at 6800 France Ave S, Edina MN 55435 — the party is in the building lobby and is hosted by MiPA treasurer Josh Weber
- Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 6p to 8p EST at 1590 44th St SW, Wyoming MI 49509 — this party is hosted by MiPA president Jason Gillikin

Second, we expect to formally open the Midwest Book Awards this week. We’ve enjoyed some significant behind-the-scenes upgrades for MiPA over the summer, but we’ve run into some pernicious problems with our website. Those challenges have adversely affected our ability to collect the data we need for awards submissions, but we think we’re closing in on a solution. You’ll receive another message when the doors are fully open.
Later this month, we’ll offer a recap of what the association has been doing since July. Until then, please know that we appreciate your membership and have been working hard on your behalf.
