A Step-by-Step Guide to Publishing
Learn what you need to know about publishing in one year with MIPA. From September 2014 through April 2015, the Midwest Independent Publishers Association will give you A Step-by-Step Guide to Publishing. Each one of its monthly meetings will be dedicated to a part of the publishing process. The meetings, which are free and open to the public, are for anyone working in publishing or considering publishing a book.
If you can’t attend a meeting, be sure to check back at this website. Many presenters will be posting their takeaway materials for you to download and use.

* NOTE: December’s meeting is the Christmas party, which will be held at a location to be determined. In lieu of a meeting in May, MIPA hosts the Midwest Book Awards Gala and Awards Presentation, which for the second year will be held at the Olsen Campus Center at Luther Seminary in St. Paul.
DIRECTIONS to the Carondelet Center: Located on Randolph Avenue between Cleveland and Fairview Avenues, adjacent to St. Catherine University. Look for a driveway labeled with a black and teal sign: “CSJ - Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet.” Coming from Fairview, it is the second driveway on your left. Coming from Cleveland, it is the third driveway on your right. Free parking is immediately to your right or in front of the building or behind the building. Use the west entrance where there is a canopy. Take the stairs or the elevator to the Cenacle Room 105.
